Litha, the Summer Solstice, came quickly after all. Now the days grow shorter! At Yule we were so happy at the thought that the days would be getting longer. So should we be sad now? Indeed not! At Litha we must remember to take joy in every moment of Summer. Any chance you can, make a point of noticing and enjoying the sun, water, and earth.
Solstices are full of the mixed emotions of awaiting the light, or easing into the darkness. Each season has its type of gratitude and connections with the earth. Connect with yours, and remember to notice what's going on around you. The seasons are similar year to year, but different in ways depending on where you are and what you do. This is a good time to recognize old traditions and make new ones.
